Trusting God is what I'd like to ramble about this day... such an appropriate topic, wouldn't you say?
Last week, I wrote about trusting in God, the most important thing, and if you missed it, you can read it by clicking here.
I'd like to expound on trusting in God, just to help anyone worried about what is going on right now in the news media and social media.
I say the media because that's where much false information can go viral.
There are a lot of theories out there, but there is only one I subscribe to, and that is God is in charge. With this subscription, I believe that all things are for my good: my spiritual expansion, which is my faith, love, patience, and trust.
Faith, love, patience, and trust come from God and are strengthened by God. This strength promotes confidence in this world, providing happiness, health, love, magnificent relationships, and wealth.
The opposite of confidence is insecurity, which is basically fear, aka stress. Stress is the number one cause of every illness. When I say every sickness, I am talking about medical, mental, and physical injuries, but I'll save that for another post.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6, Holy Bible, KJV
God is in charge! If we could but understand our loving Heavenly Father, we could and would trust Him. Like any loving Father, He allows things for our spiritual growth. The only difference between a loving Heavenly Father and a loving earthly Father is God is perfect, knows, and sees all things. That is precisely why we cannot lean on our own understanding.
I will not participate in doubt, fear, or worry because I have enough knowledge and practice to know what leads to a connection to God. A faithful and fearless life with persistent patience and trust leads to our relationship with God.
If I could do anything in all my ramblings, it would be to point anyone who wants more out of life toward their faithfulness and fearlessness.
Pointing to faithfulness and fearlessness begins with believing in and trusting in God.
Yesterday, I spoke to a woman who said she was afraid of what was to come, and then she went on and on about her fear. I politely interrupted her and reminded her that God is in charge and we could trust the Lord.
Her entire attitude changed, and she began to speak the words of faith in God. What a remarkable difference a reminder can make.
We must remind ourselves constantly that God is at the helm of it all.
I've said this many, many times, and I'm just reminding you ~wink~ we are focusing, habitual mechanisms, which is why worry becomes so forceful. We can change that worry into confidence by practice into permanence via reminders.
I understand I repeat myself, eh-em... repeatedly. But! Repetition is the law of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual growth and learning.
So remember to remind yourself that God is, in fact, in charge. We can, in fact, expand spiritually through faith and trust.
One last thing...
I've been to every state in the United States except Alaska. I see confident people, and the average person is satisfied and enjoying life. If you do not see that, it may be because the dramatic people are the loudest.
Fear is not normal...
Happiness is normal...
The fearful people are the loudest, especially on social media. You may or may not agree with me, and you may even get mad at me.
I'm not criticizing anyone. I'm just stating that most people are silent and enjoying life, able to see people practicing fear.
Do you ever see others and wonder why you don't live such a happy life?
No? Then you are the norm.
Yes? Then possibly, you are one of the dramatic.
I do not mean to be unkind, and I pray I do not offend. When I was young and dramatic, slowly but surely, I discovered I was not taught to pay attention to happy, successful people. Rather, I was trained in focusing on the negative instead of the positive. The affirmative is what God teaches us to focus on, and it leads to great joy.
Joy is all about practiced focus, whether we agree with it or like it or not.
That's all...
Trust in God, my friend...
Contemplate it, focus on it, and you will, without a doubt, make it permanent.
And! Meditate! Empty the mind of all doubt, fear, and worry!
One last, last thing. ~wink~
I look at my stats on how many people read my blog; it has been double the daily norm. This tells me that stress is high, and people are looking for relief.
The relief comes from your maker, my dear sweet friend. Trust in Him!
One of my favorite friends posted this scripture yesterday on Twitter, and I must give her credit. It is the truth!
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7, Holy Bible, KJV
Human conditioning can convince people we have no control over this power, love, and sound mind, but I am here to show you otherwise, my dear brother/sister of this world.
I love you, and I am ever praying for you!
Speak soon...
