DESTRESS YOURSELF AND YOUR HEADACHE ;)

Hi everyone ;)  How are you?  I hope you are doing absolutely fantastic ;)

Got a question for ya!  Do you have frequent headaches?  Dang, that sounded like the beginning of an ad, lol.

The reason I ask is because many people I know experience frequent headaches and they are constantly taking medication to relieve the ache.

Whenever a person tells me that they have a headache, my first thought is, "STRESS!"

Maybe you get tension headaches, or sinus headaches, or migraines, or maybe your pony tail is too tight ;)

If you get frequent headaches, I can guarantee that I can find your stress that is causing it.

It is easy to see, for me, the stress in peoples lives because that's what I do.

I have clients and friends, several in fact, who would experience headaches on a daily basis and when their stress was removed, the headaches disappeared.  Isn't that amazing?

Maybe you have stress at work, or stress in a relationship, or stress at home, or stress over finances.  Whatever it is, if you remove the stress, you can remove your headaches.

When I say remove the stress I don't necessarily mean quit your job, or end the relationship, or leave your home.  What I mean by removing your stress is, destress yourself.  When you destress yourself, you discover your stressful habits, eliminate them, and then replace the bad habit with a successful practice.

For example, if you worry (stressful habit), you can eliminate worry and replace it with confidence that everything will be okay, and faith that the best thing can happen for you.

Let's say you are worried about work.  Maybe it is someone at work or your work load.  Whatever it is that your worried about is just a thought.  Possibly you are thinking about this person, or your work load, before, during, and after work, and your thoughts are obsessive, racing thoughts about the worst that can happen.  This thought process, thinking the worst that can happen, is just a conditioned response (habit) that you have developed and therefore, you can reverse the conditioned response to be one of thinking about the best outcome rather than the worst.

I know that this is so.  I know that this is possible!  I have helped thousands of people see their stressful way of thinking, which is just a habit/conditioned response.

So, what in the heck does this all have to do with headaches?

It is my humble opinion, speaking from experience of the eliminating headache kind, that when we are stressed out, we tend to tense up.  Our body tenses from the aggravated thoughts we are having, not to mention if you can't sleep well or at all, you could very well be experiencing physical stress from fatigue, which also causes headaches.

What is a person to do?  Well, we gotta learn to relax so that we can eliminate the tension.  We gotta learn to destress ourselves so that we can live life with happiness, energy, and vitality so we can eliminate all of the stressful thoughts, feelings, and actions that we take.

When we learn to relax, we learn how to be more calm in all situations because we replace the habit of being uptight and tense.  When we learn to destress we learn to handle things, aka life, a lot better because we eliminate the conditioned responses of anger, agitation, anxiety, depression, irritability, moodiness, and the list goes on and on.  These ways of being are just conditioned responses that you can replace with the opposites.

Trust me, I know about building certainty, confidence, and faith, and the elimination of doubt, fear, worry, and negative emotions.  I have experienced it in myself and now I experience it in others.

Well, I hope you have the best week ever.  That's all I got!

Until next post, don't forget to have fun and be playful.  I know I always end my posts with that but I really mean it.  You can forget, or remember, to have fun and be playful.  I see it in many people and I bet you do too.

Big Hugs to you all!!!

QUIETING YOUR MIND

Hello!

I think it is very, very, very important to quiet the mind when you want to destress yourself.

I quiet my mind several times a day, but formally about three times a day.  Crazy?  Maybe!  I just know that my mind can run on autopilot and create all kinds of unnecessary thoughts that cause unnecessary emotions. When I say 'unnecessary,' I mean thoughts and emotions that are fleeting, negative, and drain me, and that are neither useful nor desirable.

If you know me, really know me, you know that my mood is elevated most of the time, and I know this is because of my ability to take responsibility for my thought, feelings, and actions, which is my attitude.

This is my confidence, which took years to build, and I continue to nurture it by practicing stillness.

Every day, first thing in the morning, some time at lunch, and before I go to bed at night, I do some sort of meditation.  I usually take a few deep breaths, relax my body, and then I just focus on my breathing and my heartbeat.

My favorite meditations are deliberately releasing my worry and practicing patience. Meditation is consideration with contemplation.

Deliberately releasing my worry means letting go of it through breathing exercises, and this relaxes my mind.

Patient Mind is a meditation that creates ummm... a patient mind, he he he.  I use to do this one all the time, and it gave me the ability to see that I can be patient at any time and anywhere, even in the most irritating circumstances.  It is a habit I created to replace the negative (unnecessary) emotions that were my stressful habits in the past.

Do you know anyone who meditates?  I do, and the majority of them are happy and consider themselves successful.  Successful in that they really enjoy their life.  The definition of success is happiness and enjoying life.  Many people equate money with success, but if you explore it deeper, we want that money because we think it will bring more happiness; we all just want to be happy, really.

Try meditating to this video, make it a habit, and just watch yourself create happiness, energy, and vitality.  But please, please, please don't believe me, try it for yourself.

Have a super duper week and don't forget to have fun and be playful.
