I'M IN LOVE! I'M IN LOVE! I'M IN LOVE!!!

Did the title get your attention ;)

I feel so in love with life right now!  RIGHT NOW!!!  Things are happening and I just love it!  ALL OF IT!

When I feel this happy, I feel successful.

It is my humble opinion that success means happiness.  Wouldn't you agree?

The ability to enjoy life no matter what is happening in your life is true success.

BEAUTY IS ALL AROUND US!

HEAVEN IS ON EARTH!

Something really sad is happening for me.  My son is leaving, moving away :((((( boo hoo hoo

I am really sad about it and I cry everyday, like three or four times a day.  But that is totally okay because it is absolutely normal for me to cry and be sad.  It is absolutely normal for my son to move away.  They all do, well most of them ;)

Even though I am sad about it I have so many things to be grateful for.  I am grateful for my family, my friends, my doggies, my blessing to help people EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE, and I am grateful for my close relationship with God.  I am especially grateful that my son will sooner or later (hopefully sooner than later) get married and give me grand kiddies ;)

If I focus on my son leaving and how sad it is making me I will miss all of the great things in my life.

Whatever we focus on is just a habitual way of thinking.  If we have a habit of focusing on what is bad and what we don't have we will feel depressed.  If we have a habit of focusing on what is great we can feel real happy.

So many people have the habit of looking at what is bad in their life and it causes misery.  This is exactly why quieting the mind is so important.

If we quiet our mind we can notice the mood of our mind.  The mood of our mind is what causes our happiness or unhappiness.

The mood of our mind is our habitual way of thinking.  For example, anger.  There are some seriously angry people out there and it's just a habitual way of reacting.  Anger is nothing but a habit.  I know this for a fact.

Many many moons ago, I use to get angry, all the time.  My excuse was that I had reasons.  This person did this to me or that person didn't do what they said they would.  BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...

We can have all the reasons in the book but the fact is, anger is nothing but a habit that you, and I, can get rid of.  I did.  When I get angry now, I start to laugh at myself.  I say, "Elizabeth, why you getting so angry?"  and then laugh.  Yes, I talk to myself all the time ;)  So now I have the habit of laughing at myself when I even think about getting mad, which is just a new habit that replaced the angry one.

What I am saying is, if you quiet your mind, you will notice the mood of your mind, and once you know the mood of your mind it will help you know your unhappiness.

My son always reminds me, "Mom, you are the thinker of your own thoughts."  Meaning, you can and will be in charge of the way you think instead of allowing your mind to run on auto pilot like it has for so many years.

Your mind is the most powerful asset you have.  Besides your body and soul, it's the only thing you come into this earth with and the thing you will leave with ;)  so let it be happy ;)

Quiet your mind...

Notice the mood of your mind...

Then change that mood if it is causing you unhappiness.  Take charge of that mood.  That, my friend, is what destressing yourself is all about.

Be in love with life ;)  YOU GOT THE POWER!

Have a great day and don't forget...

Have fun and be playful.

Love you...

Elizabeth
