Destress with a Mighty Change of Heart

Destress yourself with a mighty change of heart is what I'd like to explore this day.

Hello my friend. How are you? My prayer is that you are well.

Have you ever had a mighty change of heart?

A mighty change of heart is when you change your ways. For example, maybe you smoked in the past and one day you just stopped, or maybe you were a drinker and one day you just quit, or maybe you were some sort of drama queen who got offended easily, all the time, and one day you just changed.

A mighty change of heart is when you have an addiction, a habit, or a personality trait and you  just change because something hit you mentally and/or emotionally. This change can be for better or for worse, and this change can be intentional or unintentional.

Some changes that I have had were from being in debt to being debt free, from being full of drama and negative emotions to being drama free with the art of feeling good, and from being in a chaotic mind to being in a focused, organized, and productive mind.

Come to think of it, I have had many changes in my heart. As I look back throughout my last twenty five years it has been nothing but learning about myself and getting better. That was another mighty change.

Seriously, I wanted to be more, do more, and have more and I knew that I had to change to do it.

I believe it was in 1994 that I wrote down, on a brand new pad of paper, what my core values were. Actually they were the core values that I wanted for myself because I wasn't necessarily living that list yet.

My list of values I wanted to live was like thirteen pages long, no lie! I swear!

So, all of the values I had written down, back twenty two years ago, I pretty much live now and if I don't it's because it fell off my list.

Why am I talking about my list of values? I'm talking about them because I believe this list was the beginning of me destressing my life through change. This was my way of intentionally having a mighty change of heart.

Anyone can develop a major change in their life by deciding what it is he or she wants, and producing a move towards that desire deliberately.

Maybe you want to quit smoking or drinking, or maybe you want to get out of debt and make more money, or maybe you just want to feel better by eliminating anger, anxiety, or depression.

If you wanted to rid addiction, anger, anxiety, debt, drama, or depression, you could by creating that change in your heart. You could certainly see how your life would be less complex and free of stress if you were to eliminate one of the habits I mentioned, couldn't you?

So, how do you do it?

First, you gots to write it down! If I were you, I would write it on a 3X5 card, carry it with me at all times, and read it often.

What do you write you ask?

For addiction, anger, anxiety, debt, drama, or depression, you could write, "I want to quit/stop (fill in the blank) I want to (fill in the blank), and I know I can do it!" This is only a reminder of what you want and to believe you can have it. This is so very important and powerful because if you are living what you do not want, you may easily forget and you may not believe you want to or can change whatever it is.

If you believed you wanted to or could change, chances are you would have already.

Think about it! If you really know your thoughts you know that you are saying, "I don't want to, I can't, I've tried everything and nothing works," or "I want to (fill in the blank), I need to (fill in the blank), and I have to (fill in the blank)."

You may not be saying these specific words necessarily, they may be in a different form but, if you are stressed out, your actions are screaming this stuff.

So, if you want a mighty change of heart for the better so that you may lift your own burden and feel much lighter then start with the reminder on the index card. Carry that card with you everywhere you go, read it often, say it out loud often, and just watch yourself intentionally change your life.

If you really want to step it up a notch, you could make a long list of core values that you will demand of yourself.

If you do this, I give you my word that you can and will have a mighty change of heart. But please, please, please, do not believe me! Please, please, please try it, and find out for yourself by making that commitment to you.

I know with all my heart and soul this will work because it has worked so many times for me, for so many years. This is just one way to how life has become so amazing for me. And, I still have a list! Right now, I have nine guidelines that I literally live by.

I have provided a list of my guidelines for you right here in this post.

This list is very simple because I have been through, and worked out the more complex guidelines and values to destress myself.

What you will find on my list of guidelines are habits that I want with all my heart and soul to define me as a person. This list is my reminder of what I aspire to be, and much of the time I am.

This habit of reminding yourself is just a habit of focus. If there is one thing I have learned over the years, it is to focus, organize, and produce. My greatest focus at this moment is feeling good, and that's all I have to do because that is where I am at.

If you want to be, do, or have more then you gots to do the work. Life is not about getting up everyday, going to work five days a week, and letting time pass by. Life is about knowing how to have joy. If you are not living with joy much of your time but you really want joy, then it is time to do something different to provoke change.

Happiness, joy, and vitality are ways of being, and doesn't necessarily come from what you do for a living or what you have. Some of the most miserable people I know have very important titles, and make tons of money, and yet they have no joy.

What I am trying to say is a change in the way you think, feel, and act just may be the key to your happiness, joy, and vitality, which is success. Success is the very opposite of stress because stress is experiencing fear, which is the very foundation of EVERY negative emotion.

Fear promotes anger, anxiety, and depression. These emotions are the very opposite of happiness. If we are experiencing the negative emotions mentioned, we can do something about it by making a conscious change. I know that this is so, and knowing it is the very reason that I write the things that I do.

I want for you to have happiness, joy, and vitality.

I want for you to be able to rid anything that holds you back from enjoying life.

I want for you to relieve your stress and have fun in this life!

God bless you my friend. God bless you to endeavor the way of destressing your life by removing stressful habits with a change in your beliefs, and a mighty change in your heart so that you may have happiness, joy, vitality, and fun so that you may enjoy your life.

I love you! I care about you! I really believe you know I do!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Take care...

Elizabeth
