Hello!!!  Day 13 ;0)

Ewww...13 is a lucky number ;0)

Yesterday I talked about meditation and overcoming anxiety.  Back in 1999, I began my daily meditation, and now I meditate like three times a day.

Why do I meditate?  I meditate because it quiets my mind, helps me become more aware of my thoughts, and I feel connected to God.

"Be still, and know that I am God." ~Psalms 46:10

"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee" ~1Timothy 4:15

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaffe which the wind driveth away.  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.  For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."  ~Psalms1:1-6

When I meditate, I quiet my mind, when I quiet my mind, I become aware of my negative thoughts about life, others, and myself.  These negative thoughts include any doubt, fear, or worry.  When I become aware of these negative thoughts, because my mind is quiet and aware, I can eliminate them and replace them with calm, certainty, confidence, and faith.

Positive thoughts are good, and they will eliminate anger, anxiety, depression, and stress.

"Beloved, follow not that which is evil (negative), but that which is good (positive).  He that doeth good (positive) is of God: but he that doeth evil (negative) hath not seen God." ~3John 1:11

Parenthesise with the words negative and positive were added by me.

There are some serious successful stories about people who learn to meditate, quiet their mind, and then evolve their mind towards faith.  My favorite is my story...

When I public speak, I can talk to 5 people or 5000, and I am calm and confident.  Seriously, I do not have to even prepare my speech.  I just prepare an outline and speak the words of detressing.  I have enough explanations, examples, and stories to fill whatever time I speak.

If you have ever heard me speak, you know that I pack the room, and people are on the edge of their seat hungry for the words of 'How to Destress.'  I do not say this to brag, I say it to explain my success through meditation and being connected to God.

If you want to create successful change, I would begin by meditating if you don't.  No matter what kind of place you are in, meditation will only enhance your life

Speak to you tomorrow...
