If you haven't noticed, I have been talking about quieting your mind lately ;)  The reason is because I think it is very very very important when you want to destress yourself.

I quiet my mind several times a day but formally about three times a day.  

Crazy?  Maybe!  

My mind can run on auto pilot and create all kinds of unnecessary thoughts that cause unnecessary emotions.  

When I say unnecessary, I am talking about thoughts and emotions that are fleeting and negative that drain me and that are not useful or desirable.

If you know me, really know me, you know that my mood is elevated all of the time and I know this is so because of my ability to take responsibility for my thoughts, feelings, and actions which is my attitude.

Everyday, first thing in the morning, some time at lunch, and before I go to bed at night, I do some sort of meditation.  

My meditation practice consists of taking a few deep breaths, relaxing my body, and then I just focus on my breathing and my heart beat.

My favorite meditations are quieting the mind and feeling love.

Quieting the Mind is when I just relax my body, and this relaxes my mind.

Feeling love is a meditation that creates ummm... feelings of love, he he he.  

The feeling love meditation use to be my daily practice a couple of years ago.

That particular meditation has given me the ability to see that I can feel love at anytime and any where, even in the most irritating of circumstances.  

Feeling love is a habit I created to replace my negative (unnecessary) emotions that were my stressful habits in the past.

Do you know anyone that meditates?  I know many, and all of my clients meditate, the majority of which are happy and consider themselves successful.  

Successful in that they really enjoy their life.  

The definition of success, to me, is happiness and enjoying life.  

Many people equate money with success but if you explore it deeper we want that money because we think it will bring more happiness so, we all just want to be happy, really.
