A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose (Oprah's Book Club, Selection 61)Hey there!  How are you this Monday?  I hope you are happy and enjoying your life, no matter what you are experiencing. 

Did you read A NEW EARTH?  What a great book.  This book is brilliant because it shows you how you can enjoy your life, no matter what you are experiencing.  It is brilliant because it talks about YOUR life's purpose.  I love this book!

A NEW EARTH is all about awareness.  Awareness to your thoughts and what they are doing to you.  You may say that your thoughts aren't doing anything but after you read this book you will realize that everything you do, or don't do, is because of your thoughts.

Whether you are angry, anxious, depressed, unhappy, or struggling with an emotional or physical illness, this book will help you raise your awareness to your thoughts so that you may discover what is really holding you back in life.

You gotta read this book if you want to experience a shift for the better in your life.  I have had several shifts in my life.  What I mean by a shift is when you experience a greater awareness about yourself that creates a change, in you, to improve your life.

Both of Eckhart Tolle's books, A NEW EARTH and THE POWER OF NOW, will create a shift for you which will increase the joy in your life.

Quick Disclaimer...  Eckhart Tolle does not belong to any particular religion and I am quite positive he is not a Christian (believing Jesus is the Savior) but he does provide YOU a way of thinking that will definitely destress yourself.  Just wanted to disclaim that because many people think that this is a religious book but I do not think it is.  I think it is a book that will help you with your life, which begins with your thoughts.   

No matter what you are going through, this book will help you understand that by being aware, and in the present moment, you are able to destress your thoughts of worry about the future, and regrets or anger about the past.

Being in, and enjoying the present moment is what destressing yourself is all about. 

Everyday I meditate, first thing in the morning, in the middle of the day (around lunch time), and at night before I go to bed.  Meditating has given me a powerful skill of quieting my mind and enjoying the moment that I am in. 

This book has given me more understanding, and more ways, to enhance the ability to enjoy this moment, no matter what.  When I say no matter what, I mean no matter what kind of negative emotion or situation you are in.

What I am saying my friend, is you ought to read this book if you want to make an enormous step in destressing yourself.

Before I say good bye, I just want to share with you one of the things that I have learned from A NEW EARTH, and I am implementing in my life right now.  Through out the day I put my focus on my breathing and notice the energy in my body.  When I do this, and the more often I do this, I become more aware of my thoughts, which may be negative or positive, and I feel more energetic because I am feeling the energy in my body.

When I notice that my thoughts are negative, which I don't want them to be, I don't judge them, I just notice them so that I can quiet my mind and focus on my breath, my body, and my energy.  When I do this, I notice I am feeling joy and energy. 

This exercise is amazing because we become very in tune with our own mind so that we may see what we are really thinking because we become so busy that we don't actually notice our thoughts at all. 

Negative thoughts can drain us of our energy and positive thoughts can increase our energy.  If you don't believe me, look at people who are depressed.  They are depressed because of all the negative thoughts about their life and then they become extremely fatigued.

But please, don't believe me, try it for yourself.  Try the exercise and see if you can do it more and more and you will see for yourself that you can destress yourself.
